Warmblood horses
Equine horse,Warm bloods are a group of middle-weight horse types and breeds, primarily originating in Europe, registered with organizations that are characterized by open studbook policy, studbook selection, and the aim of breeding the perfect equestrian horse.
Many types of horses and ponies are classed as “warm bloods”, bred for work, driving, show jumping and dressage competitions.
Some warmbloods are specifically bred for sports, such as show jumping and dressage, which they excel.
The Gidran or Hungarian Anglo Arab is a horse bred developed in Hungary in 1816 at the Mezohegyes State stud.

The foundation sire of the breed was a pure bred Arabian stallion called Siglavy Gidran.
The stallion was sold to Baron Fechtig in Egypt in 1816.
Siglavy Gidran sired many offspring being put to several different breeds of brood mare, which included Arabian, Turkish, and Spanish mares as well as other local mares from Eastern Europe.
Influences of Thoroughbred blood were followed in the early 1893 and later on Shagya Arabian bloodlines were introduced.
The typical height varies from around 15.3 hands high to 17 hands high. The average height is 16 hands high to 16.2 hands high.
The breed colour for studbook registration is chestnut.
In order to enter the studbook the crossbreed needs to be of Thoroughbred, Arabian or Anglo Arabian descent and have documented four-generation pedigree.
The horse must reach minimum height of 15.2 hands high and also qualify through studbook selection process.
They are attractive horses to look at with a small-refined head of straight profile, neat ears and large eyes.
The neck should be muscular and well proportioned to the body that tends to be long backed.
Shoulders should be sloping, allowing for freedom of movement, chest deep and wide.
The hindquarters are well muscled and legs are strong with short dense bones and feet well formed.
Gidrans are used as riding horses and carriage horses.
