Horse care

Welcome to my Website, Horse-Training-Care.

This page is about me and why i set up ths site.

I have spent most of my life around horses and I am very passionate about them, and among other things dogs and the countryside.

Ever since I can remember I always wanted to be around animals, especially horses.

After visiting a friend and watching her ride, I nagged and nagged my family who were not at all horsy, to buy me a pony.

It seemed like forever waiting for Christmas to arrive.

I can remember her well; a tough grey Welsh mountain mare that I later found out had no manners!

She would barge past me when i opened the stable door and pull the reins from my hands to put her head down to eat grass.

I would spend hours trying to catch her.

She would clock me straight away and as soon as i stepped into her space she would be off, cantering in the opposite direction.

How to catch a difficult horse

She was very much in charge for a long time, but she taught me a lot.

On a positive note she would stand still and look at me every time I fell off.

How sweet, and i loved her dearly.

As a teenager I enjoyed many discilpines, Hunting and cross country being a favourite of mine.

Nowadays I have taken more of a back seat, concentrating on my daughter who is Horse-Crazy too and enjoys every disciple.

Having horses is a way of life for myself and family and

Coming from a non-horsy background is hard, there is so much to know and whom do you turn to.

When I look back now, it would have been so nice to have a source of information to answer my questions.

My aim is to offer as much free information and advice that will be helpful to the beginner and also to the more experienced rider.

Providing people with free informaion is my hobby so tell all your friends about this great site and feel free to bookmark it.

This is a mammoth task, but I will get there in the end.
